This incredible recipe was shared with me and has changed my mornings!
I have to admit the avocados in New York just do not compare to Mexico,
but none the less this shake; rich and creamy, keeps me going straight
through til lunch. The 100% raw and organic blend is easy to digest and
quick to make- the perfect thing before rushing off to work!
Add these ingredients to your blender in the following order
and blend on high speed for 2mins
2 tbs raw chia powder
2 tbs raw cacao powder
1 tbs locally grown, organic, raw honey
1 tbs raw almond butter
1 small ripe avocado (discard pit and skin)
Water of 1 organic coconut
1/4 C raw, organic almond milk
1 tsp organic cold pressed flax seed oil
cracking open a coconut for the first time may not be easy but the
nectar inside is so worth the effort, give it a try! If this is just too
much work, or too much mess! substitute with 1/2 lt of all natural
coconut water from the grocery store
for the chia and cacao I like the Navitas Natural brand, available
from Wholefoods, but you can substitute for your favorite brand;
just be sure to keep it all raw and organic.
When it comes to honey local is always your best bet. Locally grown,
organic, raw honey is beneficial, containing the immune stimulating
properties needed for your body to adapt to its environment.
I have been known to add some hemp powder or perhaps a banana
to this recipe, you can experiment with flavors to your taste!
