VSA Goddesses

Cheryl Finnegan:
Presidente Goddess

Cheryl Finnegan, owner / founder of VSA - likes to be called "Finn".  After a 14 year career in Marketing/Sales with Levi Strauss & Co. - VSA was born out of a change of life and a move to San Miguel de Allende, MX .  The business can truly be called an "organic happening".   It started as an obsession with Guadalupe and Mexican folklore - translated into a keychain - then a belt buckle - then a necklace – then John Galliano wore VSA on his Paris runway show!  The test market was how quickly a piece was sold off her body while walking down the street.  Why Finn? - because it sounds cool, because it's easier than Cheryl, and because she likes to swim.

Lisa Smith:
Chief Finance Goddess

Goddess of Finance – the master of multi-tasking.  A graduate from Northwestern University Business School – was on the fast track in the financial industry – then decided after child #4 – the life of a working mother wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.   VSA has been her obsession since her first belt buckle purchase in 2006!  Finally, her career makes sense – a home office in Chicago - PTA meetings, music classes, swim meets, football games, cash flow charts, balance sheets, sales analysis, a mani pedi, …just to list a few of the daily activities.  Most productive time of the day…..4am!

Louise Blackmon:
Chief Distribution Goddess

It all began in a small town in midwest…shy girl looking for the glamorous life.  Got outta dodge and moved to the big city.  Found the perfect bad boy – 3 kids later found herself back in a small town and loving it.  She loves the outdoors and cool evenings in October with a hot toddy in hand watching the kids make castles in the sandbox.  The dreams of a glamorous life came true.  She is the Goddess of Boxes, she's the Sheba of Shipping and the heart of VSA - keeping the blood flowing throught the veins. Working for VSA…priceless.

Jessica Blackmon:
Sales Goddess - East

Florida-Girl born and raised ~ UF grad ~ Go Gators!! Started as Physical Therapy Assistant but couldn't pass up her dream job with VSA that has been an opportunity and experience of a life time. She works hard and plays hard. In her ideal world she would live on a farm, sell free-range eggs and ride horses all-day-everyday.

Rachel Woodman:
Sales Goddess - West

A Texas transplant that has yet to meet a karaoke night she didn't love, Rachel has been in San Francisco for the past 7 years working in all aspects of retail--planning, buying, merchandising, & management.  As a good luck charm she still carries the first VSA St. Christopher medallion she received as a gift from her mom in 2006.

Born and raised is San Miguel de Allende, Alejandra is a trained architect. She is in charge of all VSA production (and pretty much all the other day-to-day stuff that goes on in the San Miguel office.) She loves  to buy shoes that are impossible to walk in on the cobblestone streets. She also likes to buy plane tickets to distant places.  Every year she travels for a month to get  a new perspective, (and so she doesn´t kill her co-workers.) She has been with VSA for almost 6 years, and plans to open the VSA store in Dubai someday.

Lucia Annunziata:
Design-Photo Goddess

Originally from the East Coast, Lucia was a California transplant before moving to Mexico.  A resident of  San Miguel since 2005, she started helping Finn with graphics and photography and later, jewelry design. Janet Gaber:

She knows the crystal count of every Magdalena and comes in handy at trunk shows when a customer wonders if a piece is hematite or jet. She can talk faster than an auctioneer, but her brain works even quicker! Even if Janet is programming all day and into the night in front of her screen, she wears something VSA for inspiration - the Tribal Crystal Milagro Pendant her fave!

Mercedes Hart:
Social Media - Design Goddess

Mercedes spent her first 21 years in London before moving to Mexico in 2001. Her nickname is 'Meche'- just like the peruvian goddess. yet alas she is a mere mortal. VSA's very own rock 'n roll goddess she is a CAD/CAM master and one of the designers for Virgins Saints and Angels. Besides her obsession with design- in her spare time she likes to hunt down exotic cumbia bands and hang out in inappropriate cantinas! She LOVES her LIFE !
